General Anesthesia
We offer the option for patients to undergo their treatment under general anaesthesia at Weyburn Hospital. This is most often undertaken when a highly complex or lengthy treatment is required, or for children with extensive dental needs.
Your dentist will discuss your needs (or those of your child) with you, and determine whether general anaesthesia would be beneficial in your case.
Oral Sedation
Your dentist can prescribe oral sedatives in liquid or pill form, to be taken orally before a dental appointment. Though this sedative leaves you awake for the procedure, it produces a calming effect designed to significantly relax you.
