Proudly Serving Weyburn
Souris Family Dental has been serving the Weyburn and the surrounding area for over 30 years. At our practice, “patients are precious” and we believe that people don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care. As part of that philosophy, we strive to make every visit as comfortable as possible and aim to provide you with the highest level of care we can offer. In addition, we have televisions in the operatory rooms, a play area for children and plenty of free parking in our lot. Souris Family Dental is here for your family now and will be for many years into the future.
The team at Souris Family Dental is passionately dedicated to continuing education in the fields of dental implants, CEREC, Orthodontics and Cosmetic Dentistry. At our practice, you have the combined knowledge of four dental professionals at your disposal, each with diverse continuing education to draw from when developing treatment objectives for patients.
Intraoral Cameras: These cameras take photographs of the inside of the mouth. This allows dentists to visually analyze problems within the mouth.
Digital X-rays: Digital imagery allows for the detailed examination of test results. Digital X-rays can be edited, zoomed in on, and filtered to see small problems with teeth.
Panoramic X-rays: This camera allows the doctor to see the entire mouth at once. This allows the dentist to make decisions about alignment and compare the two sides of the mouth.
Cephalometric X-rays: This unique tool allows the doctor to see an Xray image of the entire side of the face. This allows the dentist to use data about the jaw and tooth alignment to make decisions about treatment.
CBCT 3D X-rays: CBCT 3D X-rays, or “Cone-Beam Computed Tomography” X-rays let us take highly-detailed three-dimensional images of your jaws and skull. With a computer we can use these images as a powerful diagnosis and planning tool for orthodontic issues, implant placement, root canal treatments, detecting tumours, and more. The CBCT 3D X-ray uses a similar amount of radiation as a normal dental X-ray.
Hard & Soft Tissue Laser Dentistry: These lasers allow dentists to perform soft and hard tissue procedures with ease. They are used when precise work needs to be done on the internal structures of the mouth.
CEREC: This new technology allows us to create ceramic crowns, inlays, and onlays in a single appointment. No more impressions, temporaries, or waiting two weeks for lab fabrication.
